What type of metal do you use?
We do not use any nickel in our jewelry. We use the highest quality sterling silver, and our gold pieces are made of 14k gold-filled metal. Gold-filled is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure, to a base metal such as brass or copper. If the metal on one of our designs appears dark grey or black, it is because we have oxidized the sterling it in a sulfur bath. This finish will patina with age. Vermeil is sterling silver coated with 14k gold.
Do you have clip earrings?
Unfortunatley, not at this time.
How should I care for my jewelry?
When storing your jewelry, it is best to keep it away from extreme heat and moisture. Keep pearls and stones separate from metals to prevent scratching. Tarnishing occurs to sterling silver when it is exposed to air, so it is best to keep metals in a small plastic bag when you are not wearing them. If you need to polish your jewelry, simply rub the soil and oils off with a soft cloth. Please apply perfume and hair products before putting on your jewelry.
Will my jewelry look like the photos on the web site?
Due to the nature of our handcrafted work, each piece will have it's own character. Because we use many natural stones in our pieces, each individual piece may vary slightly in color and size.
I lost an earring, can I get another?
We do not make solo earrings. We would be happy to make another pair for you if the beads are still available.
